Happy St Patricks Guys

Just playing with lighting in the studio.
Its seems to be all the trend to shoot in daylight, but in a studio with no windows one has to be very inventive.

Its funny how much we shoot then send out and forget we even did.
Here is an image from last year I did for a friend when I was shooting his house and lands for a book project. This is a little capture of an abounded tackle room, little used anymore.

Its not always about the food here is the studio,
Sometimes we shoot very different stuff, like above
This is a promo postcard for Movie Extras, who want to convey the idea that they have lots of different people for different modeling jobs. Its not always about the body perfect, sometimes an ordinary person for an ordinary job is required.
Here is my interpretation of the brief:
We want an eye catching image that shows the wide range of people we have.
Wait for the next two, coming soon...
Harry.

I can do Posh!!

Here is an image from our Titanic shoot for Food&Wine a few months back.
We did cuisine from all levels of the classes even a shot of a soup the metal workers had while building the ship. It was great fun trying to recreate elements of the vessel.

This is an image from Food & Wine a few months back.
The lovely Louise Lennox made all these chocolatety cakes and deserts as part of her usual column in the magazine. Every month she will show you how easy it is to make cakes that will make your friends weep and you look like a pastry chef.
For my part, I'm trying to make each look like a painting, the old concept of a still life. More than just a image of food, but more like a piece of art.
Hope i get somewhere close
Harry.

Here is an image I did with Catherine Fulvio  for the Sunday World last weekend.
The strawberry caramels were so nice, but one tiny pinch of Rock salt and thew were amazing.
Who said savory and sweet  don't mix well..
